Karori Chiropractic Update
As the COVID-19 situation continues to develop, this page has been created to keep patients informed on what Karori Chiropractic is doing to keep them out of harms way.
The health and safety of our patients is always our top priority; therefore, the following precautionary measures have been put in place:
We ask any potential visitors to the clinic to comply with the following terms:
If you are experiencing any of the symptoms associated with the coronavirus disease, please do not enter the clinic.
These symptoms include:
- Sore throat
- Unexplained fatigue
- Difficulty breathing
Please keep away from the clinic if there’s a risk you may have been exposed to COVID-19.
Do not enter the clinic if:
- You have been in close contact with someone who has been diagnosed with coronavirus disease or is a probable or suspected case.
- You are sharing a house with someone who is currently in quarantine due to the virus.
- You have been overseas in the past 14 days.
It would be appreciated if all people entering the clinic could please use the hand sanitiser on the front desk before continuing any further into the building.
What we are doing to reduce risk:
Frequently touched areas are being wiped down multiple times throughout the day. These include door handles, counter-tops, the Eftpos machine and other areas. They also include areas the chiropractor touches frequently, including computer keyboards and mice, desktops and telephones.
The two treatment tables are being thoroughly wiped down after every appointment, ensuring all surfaces that may have contacted by the patients body or breath are targeted. The chiropractic tools and devices are also being wiped in between use.
The chiropractor is applying hand santiser before touching patients, which is then reapplied throughout the appointment if necessary.
Face-papers continue to be changed between patients and disposed of outside of the treatment room. Linen is also being changed frequently.
Physical contact between the chiropractor and the patient is being kept to a minimum when possible.
Situations that will cause Karori Chiropractic to close it’s doors:
If a new government policy requires the clinic to be closed in order to limit the spread of the virus.
If it becomes apparent that the chiropractor or a previous patient has been exposed to a suspected, probable or confirmed COVID-19 case in the past 14 days.
If the chiropractor develops any of the symptoms related to coronavirus disease.
If multiple cases of community spread of COVID-19 are confirmed in Wellington.
